On Friday the 20th, a small group of the Wine Society went to La Cave des Vignerons in Grandvaux for some local wine tasting. We tried from "La Cave du Père Sévéran" of the producer Baumgratner in Grandvaux :
- - Villette AOC 2005 (Chasselas)
- - Courseboux AOC 2004 (Chasselas)
- - Roussette 2005 (Rosé)
- - Goutillon 2005 (Gamay, Pinot noir)
- - Pinot Chardonnay 2004 (Chardonnay, Pinot gris)
Our "coup de coeur" was the Chasselas Courseboux, a nice frutty and mineral wine.
Of course, wine is one part of the "terroir" and some "tommes vaudoises and saucisson" made this tasting very local and typical.
